Mavericks Junior Badminton Club
At Mavericks, we aim to encourage children to learn badminton in a sportive and fun environment, allowing them to develop skills that enable them to play competitively within various badminton leagues.
Highlights
- Coaching delivered by a Level 2 Badminton England certified coach and 3 Level 1 certified assistant coaches
- Special sessions led by Elite England National Player Lisa Curtin
- Coaching for 6-18yr olds
- Delivering 11-12 weeks per term
Sessions
- Fridays 5:30-7pm — Beginners
- Saturdays 3:30-5pm — Advanced (strict assessment & invitation only)
- Saturdays 5-7pm — Intermediate (2hrs)
Fees
Fees are billed per term, paid strictly in advance, plus a one-off yearly registration fee that covers insurance (valid 1st Sep – 31st Aug). Contact us on the number or email below for current fees.

About The Club
Mavericks Club started with a motto: Enjoy, Enable, Empower. We aim to be a club where you can play, relax, socialise, enjoy and have fun hassle-free — expanding around the interests of the community, and supporting healthy minds and healthy bodies.
We currently run the Mavericks Ladies Club and Mavericks Mens Club (social play groups), plus the Mavericks Junior Badminton Club — coaching for 6-18 year olds.

Membership & Pricing
Monthly rolling contracts for social play — pre-payment by BACS/standing order only.
Adult & Kids Social Play

- Separate from adult memberships
Membership Terms
- Monthly rolling contract — no discounts or refunds for absences, and fees are not carried forward for a 'no show'.
- Pre-payment by monthly BACS only (standing orders accepted).
- Membership fee must be paid, and any break notified, by the 25th of the previous month.
- 3, 4 or 5 sessions in a calendar month incur the same membership fee.
- The club books courts, provides shuttles and indemnity insurance for members; it is not responsible for venue-cancelled bookings but deals fairly with refunds.
- All communication is through the Mavericks Club WhatsApp groups.
